How to cook the perfect scrambled eggs – and common mistakes to avoid
For many of us home cooks, too often we scramble the eggs too much, reports the Daily Star.
And according to Australian-French chef Manu Feildel, that’s because it’s not just a common mistake – but a very easy mistake to make.
The famous cook, who hosts My Kitchen Rules, says many of us turn the heat up too high.
He recommends setting your pan over medium heat and melting butter in it, before adding your eggs when it starts to boil.
During the cooking process, it is important to keep the cooker at a constant temperature.
Manu explained, “Don’t let your pan get too hot.
“If the pan is too hot, the eggs cook too quickly, burn, and rather than looking nice and light, they have a rubbery texture.”
To prevent breakfast staples from overcooking, Manu recommends removing them from the heat faster than expected.
He added, “Remove them from the heat when they’re still a little damp in places.
“The residual heat from the pan and the eggs will finish cooking them.”
