McDonald’s customer gets fresh fries ‘every time’ with a cheeky trick
A food blogger demonstrated how to get hot, fresh fries every time he orders from McDonald’s.
In an Instagram video, the user Jonny Massaad @cakemail ordered two batches of fries – one because it comes with salt and the other asked to have “no salt”.
Jonny, from the cake delivery company Cakemail, explains that if you order salt-free fries, a new batch must be baked so they come straight out of the fryer rather than the hotplate.
“Another Maccas hack, order chips without salt and they will be fresher than the ones with salt because they have to be made from fresh produce,” he says.
He shows the two bags of fries – which look identical – but then compares them by testing them with a thermometer.
While the regular fries with salt already sprinkled were 24.3 ° C, the fries made mostly without salt were 36.9 ° C.
In the caption he wrote: “Have you ever tried this ?!”
The video has since been “liked” thousands of times and Maccies fans have wondered if they thought the hack was worth it or not.
One person commented, “I used to do that and I was so cocky with it that I would ask them for sachets of salt after they gave me my food… lol. “
Another person blasted: “It makes their job 10 times more difficult especially at peak times, just ask for fresh fries …”
“You are that annoying customer,” someone else joked.
