Mumbai, India, November 9, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), through its Bombay will coordinate the participation of eight (8) Malaysian companies at ACETECH Mumbai from November 10 to 13, 2022. ACETECH is the largest annual exhibition of India in architecture, construction, engineering, building materials and related sectors. Outraged Bombaythe exhibition also takes place in delhiBangalore and Ahmedabad.
This year marks MATRADE’s first attendance at ACETECH Mumbai following its attendance at ACETECH Delhi in 2018. The objective of Malaysian business attendance is to build a business relationship between Malaysians and India companies. The ACETECH series of events attracts over 2,800 exhibitors (combined) each year and showcases the latest products, technologies and services available on the market.
According to Mr. Norman Dzulkarnain Nasri, MATRADE Trade Consul in Bombay, at the event, Malaysian companies will showcase building and construction materials including resin flooring, panel tanks, plastic granules and sanitary ware. In addition, services related to accredited certification, testing laboratory and green building consultancy will also be promoted at the expo.
He also added that among South Asian countries, India is malaysia main trading partner, destination of exports and source of imports. Malaysia’s total trade with India increased by 26% for $16.82 billion in 2021.” Therefore, participation in ACETECH will help promote Malaysian products and services as well as brands in India. Malaysia and India can complement each other in terms of trade commitments through trade agreements,said Mr. Norman Dzulkarnain Nasri.
The construction sector in India has vast potential as the government plans to support infrastructure development in the country as an engine of economic growth. The government of India estimated a GDP growth rate of around 9% in 2022, and more than 7% in 2023, India one of the fastest growing developing economies in the world.
