Construction site of the TMX building in Blue River

A few Blue River residents are concerned about new Trans Mountain activity in their small town.

the Time confirmed that a construction site is being built, where construction equipment and materials will be stored. Trans Mountain said the area, north of Stewart Street and south of 1 Avenue, between Cedar Street and Railway Avenue, was chosen because of its proximity to cellphone service, as temporary offices and trailers will go also in this space.

The year-to-build development was announced in 2019, and a Trans Mountain spokesperson said a notice was also recently mailed to residents.

The land on which the construction site is being built is currently leased by Trans Mountain, and the site will operate until the project is complete. According to a company update in February, mechanical completion of the project is scheduled for fall 2o23.
