Today, MoreThanTheCurve.com received a press release announcing that the development had been closed in the first round of funding that would allow construction to begin. We also learned that the apartment community will be called 400 West Elm.
Equus Capital Partners, a national real estate developer and real estate investment manager, and USAA Real Estate have entered into a joint venture and first round of financing, paving the way for construction to begin on the 400 West Elm.
The 348-unit Class A apartment community is touted as “Conshohocken’s premier ultra-luxury residential offering, with unparalleled views, high-end finishes, a coveted location and top-notch amenities.”

The 400 West Elm capitalizes on this wave of activity and is redefining the standard of ultra-luxury living in the Greater Philadelphia area, ”said George Haines, senior vice president of acquisitions and development, Equus Capital Partners. “We are delighted to join USAA Real Estate again and move forward with a development that will redefine luxury in our market and expand the dynamic live work and gaming atmosphere of Conshohocken.”

- The building will have 12 floors

The 400 West Elm will offer studios, one and two bedroom apartments with and without dens, 9ft ceilings, luxury finishes, balconies, built-in washers and dryers and generous walk-in closets. A self-contained two-storey covered car park will also be available for residents.
There are already two apartment communities under construction over the Matsonford Bridge in Conshohocken. Closest to the bridge is Unit 304 The Birch at 51 Washington. Just upstream and adjacent to The Birch is the 276-unit community of Mattison Mill. Both will be between the railroad tracks and the Schuylkill River. The Mattison plant is expected to be completed in June 2022. The birch is expected to be completed in the fall of 2022.
Construction of the 400 West Elm is expected to be completed in fall 2023.
