Full planning permission has been issued for the mixed-use development at 210 N. Aberdeen. Planned on an irregularly shaped site that stretches to N. May St in the west and W. Lake St in the south, the project will see the construction of a new mixed-use tower with adaptive reuse of the Arthur Harris Building. LG Development Group leads the development of the site.

With a design by NORR, the new building will be 19 stories high, with a number of small modifications made to the building just before construction thanks to a minor modification request filed in June. The project will offer 363 residential units, up from 414, and approximately 10,700 square feet of retail space.

Rising to 214 feet from 239 feet, the building’s unit mix will consist of approximately 50% one-bedroom, 30% studios and 20% two-bedroom apartments. 98 car parking spaces and 288 bicycle parking spaces will be included.

To meet the 20% accessibility requirement, the development will provide 73 affordable apartments on site.

Once full planning permission has been obtained, Power Construction can proceed with vertical construction of the $140 million development. The building should be delivered in 2024.
